PGSF is honored to have impacted the lives of thousands of students over the years with Scholarship funds. In this blog series we highlight feedback from our current and past recipients, showcasing the impact our financial and organizational support has had and how it impacts their lives.
“Thank you so much; this has truly been a gift to my education. Financial troubles are one of my leading stressors when it comes to attaining higher education, and it is because of the contribution of PGSF that I was available even to consider continuing.”
Jada Gunner, Loyola University New Orleans
“I am a senior at Iowa State University and will be finishing my last semester of my bachelor’s degree this spring. I have had many exciting experiences this fall as I was able to study abroad in Rome, Italy, in part due to this scholarship. I gained valuable knowledge about the printing industry and graphic design during my time there. During my last semester I plan on making a printed book for my senior project along with other printed media to supplement it. I am ready to take on such an ambitious project and really get involved in the industry before graduation. Thank you for the incredible opportunity that this scholarship gives!”
Bjorn Iverson, Iowa State University
“I have been working diligently in order to ensure that the opportunities I wish to see at my university are available for those around me, and for those who enroll at East Tennessee State University (ETSU) in the future. By setting up these preparations in my freshman year, I will be able to create much more developments and experiences for my peers throughout the remainder of my three years at ETSU. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunities that the Print and Graphics Scholarship Foundation has provided me with, as they have enabled me with the chance to focus on progressing the potential that exists at my university, and in my community. I am thankful to be able to follow in the footsteps of Norman and Gertrude Jacobson, and I look forward to seeing what all of us will be able to accomplish together.”
Abigail Amyx, East Tennessee State University
“Thank you Print and Graphics Scholarship Foundation for this amazing opportunity to pursue user and experience design at Savannah College of Art and Design!”
