The John Berthelsen Award for Service to Furtherance of Education for the Graphic Arts was established in 2022. Each year the Print & Graphics Scholarship Foundation reviews applicants to determine who is deserving of the honor for that year.

The award will be given out each year to a deserving individual or organization that exemplifies the ideals and practices of John over his many years of dedicated service to the industry and affiliated organizations.

The criteria for the award are:

• Demonstrates a love for the on-going education and advancement of individuals and/or organizations in the Graphic Arts Industry.
• Graciously donates his or her time to support education and/or supports the work through financial and other gifts.
• Works with or has worked diligently in the past in an unselfish manner to aid the industry’s future generations.
