Established in 2000
Westvaco Corporation was a well-established and highly regarded company within the paper industry before merging with WestRock in 2015. They held significant market positions in various sectors, including coated freesheet paper, envelopes, and packaging materials. The company’s corporate headquarters were located in Richmond, Virginia; however, its operations extended beyond the United States, with paper mills and container manufacturing facilities situated in Brazil, as well as additional packaging production plants strategically positioned across Europe and Asia.
Westvaco Scholarship
As part of its ongoing commitment to supporting education and fostering the development of future professionals in relevant fields, Westvaco offers this scholarship opportunity. First and foremost, preference for this financial award will be given to the children of Westvaco employees. If additional funds remain available, the scholarship will then be extended to students who are pursuing academic majors in disciplines closely related to the industry, such as graphic communications, printing, or packaging science, provided they are enrolled at an accredited educational institution.
