Henry Dunlap Memorial Scholarship: Established in 2007

The Henry Dunlap Memorial Scholarship was established because of a recommendation from the Court of Common Pleas of Philadelphia in settlement of the estate of Henry C. Dunlap, founder of the Dunlap Printing Company in 1918.

Mr. Dunlap had a great concern for children who were orphaned or other- wise deprived of a secure home environment. Therefore, after his death, and upon instruction from his will, the Henry Dunlap Memorial Scholarship was established.

Funds for this scholarship are provided by interest income generated from a trust fund established for the benefit of printers’ orphans. Scholarship funds are awarded annually to students who are orphaned or from single-parent homes who reside in the Philadelphia area.
